Economic Freedom
We invest in and provide grant capital and direct cash assistance to entrepreneurs, creatives, and communities impacted by the criminal legal system.
Mass incarceration not only costs the United States an estimated $80 billion each year in taxpayer dollars…
it also deprives us of all the brilliance and ingenuity people and communities might otherwise contribute if put into positions to not merely survive, but thrive. For many people entangled in the criminal legal system, gripped by the struggle of survival mode, the gift of imagination is a profound privilege.
Through our Manifest Freedom fellowship program, we have awarded over $600,000 to entrepreneurs and creatives impacted by the criminal legal system – providing not only one year of funding, but also professional development, healing justice initiatives, and collaborative learning opportunities to reignite that dormant spark of possibility.
With access to capital, mentorship, and more, our fellows have found success in filmmaking and publishing, supply chain, fintech, the food industry and more.
